Dale Rosenau
Dale Rosenau, 79, died Thursday, March 5, 2015 at St Catherine Hospital in Garden City. He was born August 27, 1935 near Hastings, Nebraska to parents Samuel & Anna (Frickie) Rosenau. He married Marianne Patterson in April of 1959 at Hastings, Nebraska and to Belva Knight on August 17, 1988 at Garden City.
He was a life Member of VFW.
Dale graduated with the Class of 1952 at Hastings High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and spent 2 years in Korea. After his discharge he started working for Behlen Manufacturing and was transferred to Garden City in 1960. While in Garden City Dale worked at several different places before going to work for USD 457 in maintenance. He enjoyed gardening, attending garage sales and auctions, his daily coffee group at Burger King to see who could grow the tallest corn and sunflowers & attending his grandchildren’s activities. After retirement he and his wife enjoyed going on bus tours and cruises, he especially enjoyed the food involved with the tours. He was preceded in death by his Parents, 2 Brothers- Ray & Orval & 4 Sisters- Eleanor Mohrlang, Evelyn Montley, Millie Buhr & Bonnie Thiessen.
