Red attended school in Holcomb. He was a farmer in Finney County. He served in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1950 and was stationed in Fort Lewis, Washington. He and his wife enjoyed traveling, they wintered for 27 years at St. Cloud, Florida and had a lake home at Lake Texoma for 15 years. Red enjoyed fishing, golf, bowling and hosting his fish frys in Garden City with the fish he caught in Florida and Texoma. He was preceded in death by his Parents, 5 Brothers- Robert, Cel, Alfred, Emanual & Hubert, 3 Sisters- Martha Savolt, Helen Murphy & Juliana Ireland, & 2 Granddaughters- Amber Schiffelbein & Natisha Glover.
