Workforce Connection: Bridging the Gap

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) It started at Garden City Community College and now the idea has grown. Finney County Workforce Connection is a panel looking to enhance the skills of prospective employees, so businesses can fill vacancies quickly.

Chamber President Steve Dyer believes expanding this workforce goes beyond retail. Other specialized and highly trained technical professionals are needed too. Workforce Connection is split into five committees to achieve greater results.

Dyer is happy outreach started with both the high school and the college. Workforce Connection also has added a new facebook page.
