Corky Burl, age 77, of Johnson, Kansas died Monday, November 24, 2014 at Stanton County Hospital in Johnson, Kansas.  She was born July 20, 1937 in Protection, Kansas, the daughter of Olin and Lucille (Crissup) Clark.

Corky grew up in Kansas and Colorado.  She married Maynard Burl on March 12, 1955 in Boulder, Colorado.  She and her husband worked together for seven years at Gray County Feed Yard.  Corky and Maynard also worked together for approximately thirty years as building and paint contractors.  They lived in various locations including New York, California, and Garden City, Kansas and recently moved to Johnson.  Corky enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, and flower gardening.  

She is survived by her husband, Maynard of their home; daughters, Beverly Antonelli of Dodge City, Kansas, Debi Berg and husband Dwight of Montezuma, Kansas, Tammy Steimel and husband Chuck of Ingalls, Kansas; sons, Butch Burl and wife Sheryl of Cimarron, Kansas, Greg Burl and wife Nicole of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; brother, Larry Clark; sisters, Donna Smith and husband Bill, Toni Gilbreth, JoAn Rouse and husband Gene, Sherry Dike; 16 grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Allen Clark, Jerry Clark, Randy Clark; and sisters, Shirley Burl, Sandy Marquez, and Susie Burl.
