Commissioners Decide Future Direction of State Theater

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The presentations have been made and there are three parties interested in taking over the State Theater in downtown Garden City. At Tuesday afternoon’s city commission meeting, commissioners will decide who who will run the show. City Manager Matt Allen knows whoever takes over will face challenges in making the State viable again.

Allen is aware that with a limited number of properties downtown bringing the State back to high use will help its neighbors too. Today’s commission meeting is at 1pm.
