Colleen Maria Meng

Colleen Maria Meng, age 88, died Thursday, May 22, 2014 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, KS.  She was born on July 11, 1925 in Preston, Lancashire, England the daughter of George A. & Isabella Funnel Taylor.  A resident of Garden City since 1946, she was a homemaker. 

Mrs. Meng was a member of the St. Dominic Catholic Church of Garden City, Kansas.

On January 15, 1945 she married Ellis H. Meng in Preston, England.  He passed away on October 16, 1997 in Garden City.

Survivors include:

Two Sons,                   Kenny (& Connie) Meng of Ingalls, Kansas, and

                                    Nick (& Denise) Meng of Cimarron, Kansas;

Five Daughters,          Donna (& Charles) Hacker of Chandler, Arizona,

                                    Pat (& Ron) Smith of Garden City, Kansas,

                                    Cathy (& Brent) Frack of Wichita, Kansas,

                                    Jeanette (& Fred) Rumpf of Garden City, Kansas and

                                    Connie (& Dale) Beasley of Guymon, Oklahoma;

Eighteen Grandchildren, Twenty-Three Great-Grandchildren and One Great-Great Grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Daniel Ellis Meng and a sister, Kathleen Taylor.

Vigil and Rosary services will be held at 7:00pm on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Garden City.

Friends may call from 1-8pm on Monday and 10am-7pm on Tuesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.

Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.

Memorials be given to the Colleen Meng Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
