Colby girls tennis wins inaugural GWAC meet
Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Monday saw the Great West Activities Conference feature their first tennis meet, held at the tennis courts at Scott City Middle School.
Colby would win the meet with 37 points, while Scott City was second with 24. Four of the five schools that have girls tennis in the league participated in the meet, as one school was unable to compete. With the low number of singles participants, the two singles divisions were combined for one division.
The schools will be in regional competition, beginning on Friday. Scott City will host the Class 3-2-1A meet, while Ulysses heads to Pratt for the Class 4A Regional meet.
