CHRISTY CAUBLE DAVIS ANNOUNCES RUN FOR CONGRESS
COTTONWOOD FALLS, KANSAS — Small business owner, fifth-generation Kansan, and community advocate Christy Davis will run for Congress in Kansas’ First District. The seat is being vacated by Rep. Roger Marshall, who will vie to replace Sen. Pat Roberts in the U.S.
Senate.
“It’s time we had a Kansan in Congress who actually knows the problems families are facing and cares enough to fight for Kansas communities,” said Davis.
Davis resigned from her position as Executive Director of the Symphony in the Flint Hills in
January before leaving in July. For more than two decades, she has worked to preserve the
state’s unique history, culture, and architecture.
“If we’re going to keep our small-town culture alive, we need someone in Washington that
knows the challenges we face and has the skills we need to overcome them,” said Davis.
Before officially launching her campaign this week, Davis has already begun a listening tour
with plans to visit every county in the district.
