Chiefs Stars No-Shows for Mini Camp
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) – Wide receiver Dwayne Bowe was a no-show for the opening of the Chiefs’ mandatory minicamp, while safety Eric Berry missed practice Tuesday for personal reasons. Bowe technically wasn’t required to be at practice because he still has not signed his franchise tender, which means he’s not under contract. Bowe also missed the team’s voluntary workouts the past few weeks. Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel said that Berry was excused from practice because of a family reason. He’s coming back from a torn left ACL and, along with running back Jamaal Charles, likely would have been held out of contact drills anyway. Rookie wide receiver Devon Wylie also missed practice with a strained hamstring he sustained during workouts last week.
