Utz Shares Findings From White House Visit on Future of Policing
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Garden City Police Chief Michael Utz was among 100 law enforcement officials nationwide invited to the White House at the end of last month and served on a panel to discuss recommendations made for “Policing in the 21st Century”. The report looked specifically at several areas.
One of the areas generating controversy was improving community policing by looking at individual biases.
The good news is many of the recommendations, Garden City Police are already addressing. We will have more on this story in the coming days.
