Cessna: State Audit Wanted More Than Just Trimming District Jobs
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) USD 457 in Garden City this week unveiled the findings of a post legislative audit to streamline services and reduce costs in the district. The audit called for cutting some IT positions something the district does not believe is needed at this time.
USD 457 Public Information Coordinator Roy Cessna says that was not the most stunning thing the audit revealed.
One of the findings the district will take up is the emergency management program aimed at reducing costs. The good news is there are no repercussions for failing to follow through with recommendations from the audit.
