Central Plains tennis wins Scott City Invitational

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–On a beautiful Monday for tennis, eight teams made up of the annual Scott City Tennis Invitational, held at Scott City Middle School.
The tournament’s newcomer, Central Plains, would come away with the tournament title, outlasting Garden City and Hays. Scott City finished fourth.
The Oilers would take first in three different divisions, with Camden Stiles winning No. 1 Singles, the No. 1 Doubles team of Paxton Dody/Peyton Dody and the No. 2 Doubles team of Nethan Cauthon/Alden Metro.
Garden City would see Kevin Nguyen finish second place in No. 2 Singles, while Scott City’s Carson Bennett/Brandt Powelson would be their highest finisher at No. 2 Doubles, taking second.
