Cause Determined in Temporary Power Outage on City’s Northeast Side

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Although the number of customers affected on the city’s northeast side still has not been determined, Superintendent at the Garden City Electrical Department Cliff Sonnenberg says a power outage Sunday morning lasted about an hour.

Sonnenberg traced the problem to a piece of equipment tied into a circuit breaker near the high school. Power at the high school took a little longer to restore. No other information has been released . Temperatures were around zero or even below when the outage was reported.
