Casey Alan Humphreys

Casey Alan Humphreys, age 28, of Ulysses, Kansas died Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses, Kansas. He was born October 23, 1987 in Ulysses, Kansas, the son of Joseph A. and Linda L. (Kriegh) Humphreys.

Casey was the youngest of five children. He grew up near Ulysses and graduated from Labette Community High School. Casey lived in Garden City for a time; but was currently living on the farm in Grant County. He worked in salvage. Casey loved fishing, playing horseshoes, gardening, cooking, drawing, and snowboarding.

He is survived by his daughter, Tasha Kay Humphreys of Allen, Kansas; parents, Joseph and Linda Humphreys of Ulysses, Kansas; brothers, Tyler D. Humphreys and wife Arwa of Los Angeles, California, William (Billy) Humphreys and wife Abby of Kansas City, Missouri, Joseph O. Humphreys and wife Brooke of Garden City, Kansas, and Jesse D. Humphreys of Longmont, Colorado; fiancé, Sylvia Garza; and eight nieces and nephews.

Casey is preceded in death by his grandparents, Delbert L. and Anita G. Kriegh, and Oren C. and Margaret A. Humphreys.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses, Kansas with Reverend Sam Bynum officiating. Cremation will follow service. Friends may call from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
