Carolyn L. Meyer, age 73, of Ulysses, Kansas, died Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas.  She was born May 31, 1947, in Springfield, Colorado, the daughter of Clarence and Marjorie (Rider) Oldham. 

Carolyn attended and graduated from Ulysses High School. Following high school, Carolyn attended Wesley Nursing in Wichita.  In January of 1968, Carolyn married David Everett Meyer, who preceded her in death in 2013. Carolyn was a devoted farmer’s wife and mother. She helped her husband with the farming and was involved with her boy’s activities.  Carolyn was a loyal member of the Oasis Church in Ulysses and was very active on the Election board for many years. Carolyn enjoyed baking and decorating wedding, birthday, and cakes for all occasions for numerous friends and family and was also passionate about painting.           

Carolyn is survived by two sons, Mike Meyer and wife Stacy of Ulysses, and Mark Meyer and wife Elizabeth of Mack, Colorado; sister, Kathy Pitts and husband Randy of Lee Summitt, Missouri; and five grandchildren, Katelynne, Cori, Cole, Zachary, and Isabella. 

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, David. 

Graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses, Kansas, with Pastor Kris Humphrey officiating. Service may also be viewed on Garnand Funeral Home Facebook Live. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Oasis Church in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W.
