Carol Stanley
Carol Stanley, 73, quietly passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Presbyterian Manor of the Plains, Dodge City from Lewy Body Disease.
She was born March 4, 1943 at Dodge City, the daughter of Howard and Lorene (Mahieu) Hatfield. She was a lifetime area resident and a graduate of Fowler High School. She attended beauty college and operated the Magic Mirror Beauty Shop with Theresia Trent in Dodge City. She later worked as a Certified Bank Teller at Bank of America in Dodge City, retiring in 2005.
She was a member of Wilroads Garden Christian Church and the Women’s Golf League at Mariah Hills Golf Course in Dodge City.
On December 17, 1961 she married Larry Trent at Fowler. He preceded her in death on December 17, 1989. On May 27, 2000 she married Dennis Stanley at Wilroads Garden Christian Church. He survives.
Other survivors include: her children, Lori Hendricks, Montezuma, Jason Trent and wife Krista, Burrton, Kansas, Chris Stanly, El Dorado, Dennis Boyles and wife Rosa, Liberal, Bridget Slattery and husband Tom, Thomas, Oklahoma, Shannon Crocker and husband Blaine, Kiowa, Colorado and Dr. Dion Stanley and wife Marci, Dodge City; 2 brothers, Don Hatfield, Liberal and Norman Hatfield and wife Jean, Fowler; a sister, Sherri Copple and husband Jerry, Berthoud, Colorado; 22 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the First Christian Church, Dodge City with Jeff Hiers officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City. Visitation will be Wednesday from noon to 8:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.
