Ready For Pratt

Garden City, Kan (westernakansasnews.com)-Pratt Community College quickly doused the Busters hot start to take a (23-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-13) decision Wednesday night at the Dennis Perryman Athletic Conference.

“It comes down to decision making,” Head Coach Harvey Sanders said afterwards. “We have to start making smarter decisions. That’s not something you can coach; it’s an individual thing.”

Garden City (0-5, 0-1) started off well, grinding out a 25-23 win in the first set. But the Beavers countered with a sweep of the final three stanzas, including a decisive, 12-point blow in the final frame.

“We started making a lot more errors,” Sanders said. “We couldn’t take care of the ball, and they grinded well; they forced us to have to make plays, and we didn’t make plays.”

Next up: The Busters head to McCook, Neb for a two-day tournament on Friday and Saturday.

Friday-vs. Southeast (Neb.) Community College; McCook Community College

Saturday-vs. Lamar, Co.; Eastern Wyoming
