Busters Early Season Roll Continues
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com The old adage goes better late than never. Garden City Community College had a tight game late with Indian Hills before erupting with a seven run eighth inning to pull away 10-2. Broncbuster Designated Hitter Kadin Hydrick cleared the bases with a three run triple in that inning which followed a bases loaded walk.
Another Broncbuster starting pitcher had a good start. Just a day his team put away Indian Hills on back to back shutouts, Madison Spencer gave up only one run on three hits in five innings to pickup the win. Jaxson Mohr had an RBI single in the 4th and after the Falcons tied it up in the top of the 5th, Garden City took the lead for good on an RBI double from Tyler Tucker and RBI single by Rocky DeSantis.
Garden City took three out of four in their weekend series with Indian Hill and improved to 4-2. The Broncbusters host Frank Phillips Wednesday for a 3pm first pitch. Then it’s off to the road Saturday by playing Rose City in a double-header at Midwest City, OK.
