Buster softball splits with Pratt
Pratt, Kan (westernkansasnews.com)-The Garden City softball team knew wholesale changes were coming. The question was how would they respond?
After losing seven straight games including the first of Monday afternoon’s twin bill with Pratt 5-4, things appeared to being going well south for Becky Gundy’s team. But her squad rebounded nicely with a 6-5 victory in the finale.
“It’s disappointing to split with Pratt,” Gundy said afterwards. “We dominated them early in the season. We run ruled them and should have taken care of business.”
The Busters improved to 9-14 overall and 1-3 in the Jayhawk West. Next up: A trip to Barton County on Wednesday for a doubleheader. First pitch at 2 p.m.
