Buffs wrestling rolls Scott City
Garden City, Kan (westernkansasnews.com)-Scott City already had an uphill battle to climb entering the Garden on Tuesday night. Add injuries to mix made that hill seem like Mt. Everest.
The top-ranked Buffs made quick work of the short-handed Beavers-beating them 66-12 in a match that lasted just over an hour.
“We were shorthanded as well,” Head Coach Carlos Prieto said. “But we have a lot more guys that can fill in than a smaller school does. They’re a tough bunch.”
No. 1 ranked Michael Prieto got Garden City off and running. It took the sophomore just 26 seconds to pin Chase Ramsey. The rest of his teammates followed suit with the Buffaloes winning seven of the eight matches.
