Buffs volleyball set for substate (Audio)

Garden City, Kan (westernkansasnews.com)-Not since 2005, has a Garden City volleyball team qualified for the state tournament. Before that it was 1996. So if we are going on algorithms and all that other math stuff, surely 2014 (nine years following their last berth) is the year they make it back. 

Garden City (20-15) opens the substate tournament Saturday afternoon against 5-20 Wichita North. A win, and they’re likely staring at a showdown with No. 2 seed Hutchinson for the right to move to next week’s big dance.
