Buffs Soccer Score 2-0 Win Over Liberal
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The Garden City Girls Soccer team kept the ball on their side of the field and finally wore down Liberal for a 2-0 win on Thursday at Buffs Stadium. Halfway through the second half Megan Martinez knocked in a goal for the first Garden City score to make 1-0. Eleven minutes later Martinez added a second goal. She says that is exactly how they drew it up.
Amber Miller assisted on both of Martinez’s goals. Garden City Head Coach Jaoquin Padilla believes if his team had a little more patience they could add even more.
Garden City plays Dodge next Monday at 4. Liberal takes on Wichita North Friday.
