Garden City, Kan (westernkansasnews.com)-High School teams across the state can’t officially start hitting until Thursday, but that didn’t stop Garden City players from getting after each other during the first day of fall practice at Buffalo Stadium on Monday night.

“No matter how much simulating you do, you can’t simulate practice,” Head Coach Brian Hill said following his team’s three-hour session. “The quick movements, the fatigue in the muscles from that is what’s hurting them the most. But I think they’ll respond quickly over the next couple of days.”

The Buffaloes open the season September 6th at Bixby, Okla. You can listen to the game on 99.9 KWKR and at westernkansasnews.com.

Sports Director Mike Pilosof caught up with Coach Hill following his team’s first practice.
