Buffs baseball splits with TMP
Hays, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-The pieces are definitely there for Garden City in 2016.
They just haven’t all come together as of yet.
The Buffaloes split with TMP-Marian on Tuesday, losing the first game on a walk off 5-4 before taking the finale 13-4.
“We had our chances in the first game,” Head Coach Bill Wilson said. “We just let them slip away.”
In game one, the Buffaloes blew a 4-3 lead in the seventh. With the bases loaded Gavin Schomader’s two-out base hit gave the Monarchs a one-run victory.
In game two, Garden City exploded for 11 runs in the fourth. Eden Arreola sparked the Buffalo offense with six RBIs; all of them on bases-clearing triples.
