Garden City, KS-The Garden City wrestling team finished fourth at the 6A regional meet, sending 12 of their 13 entries to next week’s state tournament. Derby won the team title.
Garden City had three individual regional champs: Diago Hernandez (120 pounds), Jacob Holt (132 pounds), and Josh Janas (138 pounds). They also produced three runner-up placers: Erik Dominguez (126 pounds), Alex Rodriguez (195 pounds), and Refugio Chairez (285 pounds)-he lost to Dodge City’s Evan Darville by decision in the finals.
