Buffalo Bowling girls take 1st, boys 2nd in home match

Garden City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) The Garden City High School bowling teams finished first and second on Tuesday in their home meet at Hard Rock with Liberal and Holcomb. The Lady Buffaloes won with a total score of 2,710, while Holcomb finished second at 2,304 and Liberal third at 2,195. The boys finished second with a total score of 3,037, Liberal won with a 3,274 and Holcomb finished third at 2,404.

Individually the three medalists on the girls side were all from Garden City. Alexis Leon won with a total score of 565, Tiana Hipp finished second with a 516 and Lacey Killingsworth third with a 451. Garden City’s Taylor Schlitz had the best individual game bowling a 223.

For the boys all three medalists were from Liberal. Brodie Warren took first by wide margin with a score of 707, he also had the high game with a 266. Kristopher Henderson finished second with a 618 and Johnathan Auwarter took third with a 576.

Garden City Bowling is back in action Tuesday January 16 at home at Hard Rock when they host Great Bend at 3 p.m.
