Brownback Calls Legislature For Special Session on Education
Topeka., KS (westernkansasnews.com) Governor Sam Brownback is calling the Kansas Legislature into special session to deal with education funding issue and in response to the State Supreme Court deeming the current mechanism for distributing education funding unconstitutional.
Brownback has not set a date for the special session, but says he was disappointed the court would be willing to shutdown schools over 40 million dollars or one percent of allocation for the state’s overall education budget.
