Broncbuster baseball wins in 10
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-These days Garden City manager Chris Finnegan is more than just a baseball coach, he’s a brand-new father.
But that hasn’t changed his demeanor.
Neither did a 10-inning thrilling come-from-behind win on Wednesday.
McCook shortstop C.J. Neumann’s error in the 10th allowed Aeneas Roberson to score, and the Broncbusters rallied from a four-run deficit to beat the Indians 8-7 at Williams Stadium.
Garden City (3-0) spotted McCook four runs in the second when Keanu Van Kuren cleared the bases with a triple. The Broncbusters answered with five in the third to take the lead.
James Babic’s two-run bomb in the sixth put the Indians back in front before Garden City answered in the bottom half.
The Broncbusters tied it up in the seventh when Alex Eskridge was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
