Bridge work to begin U.S. 400 bridge in Ford County

Crews are expected to begin bridge work on the U.S. 400 bridge north of Ford on Wednesday, August 1.

Traffic over the bridge will be reduced to one lane controlled by an automatic signal during the project. KDOT urges drivers to be alert, pay attention to all work zone warning signs, and be prepared to stop.

Bettis Asphalt Construction Inc. of Topeka is the contractor on this $996,000 project which is expected to be completed in November, weather permitting.
