(Dodge City, Kansas, March 31st) Boot Hill Distillery realized we were in a position to step up and help our community in a time of need by shifting our focus from the production of spirits to an item that overnight became a necessity, hand cleanser. We went from concept to production in just four days. When we announced our intentions on Facebook, the response from the community was overwhelming reaching almost 54,000 people. Direct messages came flooding in, we quickly realized there was a dire need for cleanser not just in Dodge City but throughout all of our region.

We were concerned that we would not be able to fulfill the need with our original investment of 2,500 4oz bottles. However, just as we knew there would be a need for this, so did others in our community and we are grateful for their support and generous donations. The amount of support that this project has received has been the reason we are continuing to provide the hand cleanser free of charge to those in need. We have hosted two successful distribution days in Dodge City as well as multiple events in neighboring communities. The communities of Copeland, Ingalls, Montezuma, Bucklin, Spearville, Cimarron, Jetmore and Ford have all received hand cleanser through our partnership with Victory Electric. We are still working with other community partners in surrounding communities to host distribution days and will announce on social media as each are planned.

This would not have been possible without the financial support from the Victory Electric Cooperative, Kansas Corn, Dodge City/Ford County Development Corporation, Conestoga Energy Partners, Western Plains Medical Complex, Conant Construction LLC, Centera Bank, Nu Life Market LLC, EGE Products, Bondurant Grain, Pioneer Electric, Southern Pioneer Electric and many others. Many individuals have supported with direct donations through the Go Fund Me page.

We especially want to thank the Ford County Sheriff’s Department and Kansas Chapter Law Dogs for keeping everything running smoothly at the distribution centers in Dodge City.

The need for the cleanser continues and requests keep coming in from near and far. This week we have spent most of our efforts in filling large requests for first responders, hospitals, nursing homes, home care, and any other medical requests. We have begun production of bulk jugs in addition to our 4oz bottles. To date we have filled 30,000 4oz bottles and 250 gallon jugs. We currently have enough capacity to bottle a total of more than 40,000 4oz bottles and 500 gallons

of bulk jugs. We will continue to increase our production based on funding received. Any questions can be directed to info@boothilldistillery.com

If you would like to help us continue the efforts of getting the product to as many people as possible we are accepting donations, you can give directly to Boot Hill Distillery by contacting us, you can also give online by visiting our GoFundMe page https://www.gofundme.com/f/bhdhandrub.
