Boo! at the Zoo canceled for 2020
Lee Richardson Zoo
Friends of Lee Richardson Zoo regrettably announce that they are canceling this year’s Boo! at the Zoo scheduled to take place Saturday, October 17, 2020. Several factors played a part in this difficult decision.
“Our heartfelt apologies go out to the treat stops, sponsors, volunteers, and community members that were planning to attend and participate in this beloved Halloween event. Ultimately, as the coronavirus situation evolves, the safety and wellbeing of our visitors, staff members, and volunteers is our number one priority,” said Jessica Norton, FOLRZ Executive Director.
Look for future announcements for special happenings at the Zoo, including ones that are Halloween themed.
The Conservation Carousel will be running on the weekends of September 26/27 and October 3/4 from 2 – 4 pm. Tickets are $2 per rider. Scheduled times may change based on inclement weather (snow, rain, temperatures below 50 degrees Fahrenheit).
Check the Friends’ and the Zoo’s websites and Facebook pages for future announcements on special Zoo happenings and further opportunities to ride the Conservation Carousel.
