Bombers on brink; fall to North Dakota
Albia, Iowa (westernkansasnews.com)-Usually one inning can wreck a season. In Garden City’s case on Friday morning, it was the second.
Three costly errors and a six-run frame eradicated any chance of a comeback-fueling North Dakota to a 7-3 victory over the Bombers on day two of the 2014 Babe Ruth 15 and under regional tournament.
“I’m proud of the guys,” Head Coach Travis Brunson said. “We fought back despite one bad inning. We made plays; we just dug ourselves too big of a hole.”
