Birds Blamed For Short-term Power Outage in Town
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Some residents had a power outage on Monday afternoon caused in a most peculiar way.
City Utilities Director Mike Muirhead says 3,000 customers throughout town lost power for a little more than a half hour. Any worry this problem could reappear? The situation has been addressed.
The accident also resulted a small grass fire near the substation at 3rd and Johnson. Fire crews put out that blaze quickly.
