Billie Jean House
Billie Jean House, 85, died December 20, 2016 at Ness County Hospital in Ness City, KS.
She was born July 22, 1931 at Hayne, KS, the daughter of Bert and Flora (Rhiness) Dodd.
She was an Assistant Manager with Western Power, retiring in 1993.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Liberal.
Formerly, she had participated in bowling leagues and volunteered at Southwest Medical Center.
On June 29, 1947, she married Bill E. House at Hugoton, KS. He died February 13, 2012.
Survivors include:
3 Daughters- Jan Shank and husband Harold of Hanston, KS
Jerri Rook and husband Ron of Prescott, AZ
Jacque Tilgner of Derby, KS
6 Grandchildren – Corey Powell, Stacie Powell, Katie Ruff, Brad Shank, Rian Tilgner and Riki Donner
9 Great-Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Son-in-law, Rick Tilgner, 3 Brothers, Roy Smith, Bob Dodd and Tom Dodd and 2 Sisters, Leona Bullard and Audrey Jarvis.
Memorial Service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rex Petty presiding. Private inurnment of cremains will be at Restlawn Cemetery, Liberal.
In Lieu of flowers and plants, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Bazine, KS in care of Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
