Beulah “Bea” Lamb

3760342Beulah “Bea” Lamb, 90, died Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Trinity Manor, Dodge City.

She was born October 28, 1925 near Burdett in rural Pawnee County, the daughter of Jesse Remer and Ruth Ellen (Waterhouse) Crockett. In 1941 she married John Sauer in Dodge City and moved to San Diego where she worked for Ryan Aircraft Manufacturing and was one of the first female riveters. They moved to Wichita in 1947. In 1966 she married Frank Lamb. She worked in sales for Singer Sewing Machine Company. She was also a waitress and did bookkeeping for Davids Fabrics, MFY and Starks Wholesale and volunteered at Bontanica until her retirement in 1988. She moved to Dodge City in 1990.

She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Daughters of Isabella, Altar Society and Women’s Chamber as well as a Board Member of Manna House for 11 years all in Dodge City. She was a very active member and volunteer of the church.

Survivors include: her daughter, Kathryn Werner and husband Richard, Dodge City; her sister, Norma Kingry, Kinsley; a grandson, Jayson Werner and wife Katie, Manhattan, Kansas and a great granddaughter, Olivia Werner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Remer and Cecil Crockett and her granddaughter, Gretchen Woolsey.

Daughters of Isabella Rosary will be at 4:00 pm Sunday, June 26, 2016 and Vigil service will be 7:00 pm Sunday both at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City. Memorial Mass will be 11:00 am Monday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe with Fr. Wesley Schawe presiding. Inurnment will be at 11:00 am MST Tuesday in the Eads Cemetery, Eads, Colorado. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.
