Beef Empire Days Cattle Working Contest

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The Beef Empire Cattle Working Contest yesterday brought in 20 area teams. The Cattle Empire Yard in Sublette rained supreme winning the contest with a score of 85.5.

Just behind them in second place was Midwest Feeders with a score of 84.75. Finishing third was Centerfire Feed Yard in Ulysses at 84.5.

Beef Empire Days enters it’s final weekend today with several events including the Children’s Parade at 10 at the Finney Co Public Library. The Carcas Show at 2 at the Tyson Plant and the awards banquet at 6:30 at the Clarion Inn. Beef Empire Days Exec Directory Deann Gillen tells us about the story hour.
