Beall: Federal Indictment Handed Down on Bombing Suspects
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) According to a release from acting US Attorney Tom Beall the three men accused in the plot to bomb an apartment complex in Garden City where Somali immigrants live have all been indicted by a federal grand jury.
The indictment came from facts presented in a criminal complaint October 14 where 49 year old Curtis Allen and Gavin Wright both of Liberal and 51 year old Patrick Stein of Wright are accused of stockpiling ammunition, sizing up targets and preparing a manifesto to be published after the bombing.
The three men are also charged with one count of attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction. If convicted, all three will face a term of life in prison.
