Bandits blow lead late
Garden City, Ks (westernkansasnews)-Finney County overcame a one-run deficit; then gave it right back in the 7th as Ulysses topped the Bandits 15-6 in the Clanton Memorial Tournament at Williams Stadium Friday morning.
Finney County (6-13) led 6-5 heading into the final inning, but the Tigers (12-8) plated ten runs in their final at bat.
“It’s not over until the umpire says it’s over,” Tigers coach Marcus Chavez said afterwards. “We just needed to focus every inning and play until they said it was over.”
The Bandits committed seven errors in the game.
