Audrey E. Bates-Harrison
Audrey E. Bates-Harrison, 97, died Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Shepherd’s Center, Cimarron.
She was born December 9, 1917 at Hoxie, Kansas, the daughter of Charles and Orpha Emma (Davidson) Whitmarsh. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Cimarron.
She married George Bates in Calhan, Colorado. He preceded her in death in 1950. In 1951, she married Percy “Woody” Harrison at Colorado Springs. He preceded her in death in 1996.
Audrey had 4 children. Her daughter, Judy Jean Moler, preceded her in death in 2011.
Survivors include: 3 sons, George Keith Bates and wife Ellen, Cimarron and Charles Robert Bates and wife Marilyn, San Diego and Paul Douglas Bates, San Diego, California; her son-in-law, Sam Moler and wife Myrna, Salina, Kansas;
She had been blessed with 9 grandchildren, 7great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Private services are planned. The will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be with her late husband Woody at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, California.
The family suggests memorials to the First Christian Church, Cimarron, in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 446, Cimarron, Kansas 67835.
