Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Scott City Beavers hosted the Cheney Cardinals in the Class 3A, Sectional playoff game on Friday night. It was the first meeting between the two schools, and unfortunately for the Beavers, it would be their final game of the season, as they fell to the Cardinals 38-7.
Scott City’s season came to an end at 8-3, and Cheney improved to 9-2, advancing them to their first-ever sub-state game on Friday at Andale.
