DCCC Looks to City For Help Funding New Activities Center

Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The city commission will decide at Monday’s meeting whether to issue industrial revenue bonds to help construct a new student activities center at Dodge City Community College.

City Manager Cherise Tieben believes the city and college understand the importance of helping each other when they can.

DCCC foundation director Roger Proffitt says bonds would pay for 4.7 million of the overall 8 million dollar estimated cost.  FEMA would kick in another 500,000 because  the facility would also be used as a storm shelter.  The college would raise the rest.
