A’s bounce back at El Dorado
El Dorado, KS(westernkansasnews.com) Following Tuesday nights blowout loss the Dodge City A’s rebounded Wednesday night with a 3-2 win over the El Dorado Broncos.
The game remained scoreless until the fifth inning when Carlos Arrellano got his first hit as an A with an RBI single. Dodge City struck again in the sixth on a two-run homer by Kainalu Pitoy to make it 3-0. The Broncos(3-4) responded in the bottom half with a two-run double by Ethan Payne to make it 3-2.
From there Gabriel Sotomayor shut down the Broncos offense only allowing two base runners over the last three innings. Sotomayor pitched the final four innings allowing just two runs on three hits with five strikeouts and five walks to get the save. Nolan McCarthy(1-1) got the win pitching five innings allowing no runs on three hits and striking out six. Pitoy led the A’s(3-3) at the plate going 3-4 with a homerun, triple, single and two RBI.
The A’s are back in action Friday night at home when they host Derby at 7:30 p.m. pregame will begin at 7:15 on Super Hits 95.5 and swksradio.com
