A’s blank Haysville
Dodge City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) The Dodge City A’s shut out the Haysville Aviators 2-0 Saturday night behind a great start from Trevor Munsch.
Munsch(3-1) went six innings and surrendered just two hits and one walk with five strikeouts on 80 pitches. From there the A’s bullpen was stellar as Nico Mayoral, Cody White and Brock Knoten each pitched an inning and only allowed one base runner on a walk. Knoten picked up his sixth save of the season.
At the plate Dayton Cook drove in both runs on a double in the fifth inning, he finished the night 1-4. Kyle Cullen was 2-2 with two singles, two walks and a run scored. Jacob Sapp had his best night at the plate since joining Dodge City last week going 2-3 with a double, single and a run scored.
The A’s(15-11) will close out the weekend series with the Aviators(8-21) on Sunday night. Pregame coverage will begin at 6:45 p.m. on 95.5 FM and swksradio.com with the first pitch at 7 p.m.
