Artie O. Brunson

Artie O. Brunson, age 102, died Monday, September 2, 2013 at the Garden Valley

Retirement Village in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on May 8, 1911 in Loco,

Oklahoma, the daughter of William Henry & Lillie May Blevins Clarkston. A resident

of Garden City since 1930 she had been in partnership with her husband of Brunson

Distributing Company.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Garden City, Kansas.

On November 27, 1928 she married Mearl Brunson in Frederick, Oklahoma. He died March

9, 1997 in Garden City, Kansas.

Survivors Include:

One Son, Roger Brunson of Garden City, Kansas;

One Daughter, Alene Calder Herrman of Liberal, Kansas;

Seventeen Grandchildren and Thirty-seven Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Doyle Brunson, a daughter, Mearlene

Ankrom, a great-granddaughter, Jaimie Carr, a sister, Esley Clarkston, and six brothers,

Clarence, Carl, L.K. (Pete), Bill, Chester & Wendell Clarkston.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:30am, Friday, September 6, 2013 at the Valley View

Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.

Friends may call from 10:00am-8:00pm on Thursday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in

Garden City, Kansas.

Memorials may be given to the Artie Brunson Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons

Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
