An Art Class Project Goes to Space and Beyond

Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Their work is out of this world.  Prompted by a telephone call from officials at Washburn University, Rebecca Stateler’s 8th grade art class at Dodge City Middle School made logos with a space theme that have become part of a special quilt.

All together the quilt is 63 feet taller than the Statute of Liberty and includes the work of 23 Kansas schools.
