Area teams to compete in state tournament; tourney brackets

The KSHSAA State Basketball tournament will take place, starting on Wednesday across seven sites in the state of Kansas. Eight teams representing seven schools from across the southwest Kansas region will be competing for a chance at a state championship.

On the boys side, Lakin in Class 3A, Syracuse in Class 2A, South Gray in Class 1A, DI & Bucklin and Dighton in Class 1A, DII will take the court. For the girls, Holcomb in Class 3A, South Gray in Class 1A, DI and Bucklin and Hodgeman County in Class 1A, DII will represent the area.
