Area Coaches Recive KCCTFCA Coach of The Year Honors

Garden City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Southwest Kansas area coaches have received honors as Coach of the Year in their classifications in boys and girls cross county and girls track from the Kansas Cross Country and Track And Field Coaches Association.

In Boys Cross Country, Stanton County’s Mike Horton received honors as the Class 2A Coach of the Year. Garden City’s Krista Linnenberger was name the Class 6A Girls Cross Country Coach of the Year.

In Track & Field, Kiowa County’s Travis Powell was named the Class 2A Girls Coach of the Year and in Class 3A, Cimarron’s Denis Hornung was the Girls Coach of the Year.
