Another Side to Funding Education in Kansas
(westernkansasnews.com) Garden City, KS–State Representatives John Doll and Russ Jennings are bringing their town hall meetings to Garden City. Doll believes education is the most important issue, but his biggest concern is those that now want the legislature to cut funding for “Common Core and go back to “No Child Left Behind”.
Doll says the state could lose 500 million in defunding common core and would have to add another 440 million if the legislature is defeated in the Kansas Supreme Court. Saturday morning’s town hall is at 9 from the Clarion Inn on Kansas Avenue.
