Garden City’s Annual Fall Clean Up Approaching

(westernkansasnews.com) The Public Works Department of Garden City will be conducting the annual fall clean up September 30th through October 11th. This free pick up service is for residential areas only, but not for businesses. To accommodate the need of both the homeowners and the City collection crews, the City has been divided into eight collection areas and has specific dates each section will be picked up. The City of Garden City Public Works Department is coordination the program, however, because of landfill regulations, the City has asked homeowners to separate tree trimmings, old appliances, and furniture and other boxes into separate piles. If a City truck has gone by an area and only picked up some items, but not all of them, it does not mean the City has finished. Each truck is designed to pick up certain items.2013 Fall Cleanup (2)
