Anita Marie Richardson

Anita Marie Richardson, 104, died July 14, 2015 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City. She was born on December 10, 1910 at Coffeyville, KS the daughter of Arthur and Marie (Protzh) Drews. 

She married Jeff Andrews on November 16, 1930 in Coffeyville, Kansas, he preceded her in death on December 20, 1982. Anita later married Ray Richardson on May 22, 1985 in Dodge City, he preceded her in death on June 13, 1995. Mrs. Richardson enjoyed crocheting, cooking, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family in her spare time. Mrs. Richardson really enjoyed her weekly hair appointments and also loved to go for a ride in the country to look all the farm ground. 

Survivors include a son Don Andrews and wife Shelby of Dodge City; son-in-laws Don Melton and wife Virginia; Bob Haskell and Jim Barnes all of Dodge City. She is also survived by her grandchildren David Melton and wife Leticia; Dwight Melton and wife Rose; Donna Crawmer and husband Doug; Steve Barnes and wife Susan; Kent Barnes and wife Naoma; Darren Barnes and wife Sherri; Brad Haskell and wife Tamra; Brent Haskell and wife Brianne; Sara Stateler, nineteen great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by four daughters, Delores Melton, Wanita Barnes, Carolyn Haskell, Shirley Stateler, three brothers Bennie Drews, Herman Drews, Arthur Drews, daughter-in-law Karen Andrews, son-in-law Stan Stateler, grandson Scott Stateler, and great grandson Kalab Stateler. 

Funeral service will be held at Grace Community Church on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Kirk Larson presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Sunday, July 19, 2015 from 12:00 – 6:00 P.M.. Memorials are suggested to Grace Community Church, First Christian Church or American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
